The Possible Future of a Man

fatherless men.. and their failures with women

The Possible Future of a Man (an enlightening dream)

I am thirty years old and I would like to tell you about this dream: the dream begins in the morning, I am in my childhood home with my current partner, my mother is at the door and does not want to leave the room, and leave us alone, I argue with my mother, and all my relatives appear next to her with an air of disappointment.

I jump forward in time. The morning is ending, and I find myself in a store with my ex-wife, but in the dream we are still married. Her relatives are there. I have to charge my phone, but there is a queue at the checkout. We are going to be late for the family lunch, and the blame will fall on me. I feel uncomfortable.

We arrive at a house I don't recognize, a shabby environment with bare walls and worn red carpet. There are people inside I don't know; it looks like a seaport.
A gypsy thief enters the room, my wife used to hate her.. but now they laugh and joke together. I feel uncomfortable again, I get up from the sofa and go into the corridor. While I'm standing next to the coat rack, I hear my wife saying: "Yes, we are happy, we have an equal relationship and we are independent." I turn around and in the mirror, I see my back covered in cuts, scars, open wounds on my skin, I am ashamed.

The dream ends here. I woke up annoyed.
I understood what I had dreamed. My future could have been that, but I am glad I chose a different one, and I invite all men to choose their own with intelligence, a future where freedom and happiness are authentic.
