Joint Custody in West Countries
Joint Custody is the legal application of the foundation principle of Shared Parenting.
It's the right of the child to have both parents even after divorce, It's the right of men and women to be equal and not discriminated parents.
Today, all around western countries, joint custody is not seriously
implemented in family courts, the mother is selected as the superior or prevalent parent.
Between a criminal mother and a Nobel-honored Father, judges will give custody
to the mother; you can imagine the consequences..
Divorce, a law written by Adults for Adults
In Italy for example Divorce involves about 70-80.000 children every year, and it's often a shock for them.
The child spends about 6-18 months to adapt to the new environment,
but it becomes impossible if the divorce is conflicting.
Every year about 10-15% of these children become alienated from the father; they become one-parent children with severe damage to their health.

Separated Fathers, the Italy case
In Italy there are 8 million separated parents, and 1/3 of the population is involved.
In divorce males are discriminated against: the father loose his kids, his house,
his money, his freedom and stability.
From EURISPES Report 2011 " 80% of separated fathers are unable to live
with the remaining salary. " -
CARITAS (public dormitories) tells us 1 guest in 4 is a separated father.

Depression, Suicide and Homicide

Every year in Italy about 250 divorced men commit suicide because of the big pain
and marginalization and sometimes they commit suicide-homicide

The War of Children
Inequality had always created conflicts.
In Divorce children become the wild card to obtain everything:
the custodial parent gets 80% of their time, control and privileges of any kind, the family house,
alimony for 15-30 years.
The Business in Italy: ex-wives, lawyers, psychologists and consultants, corporations and cooperatives, a turnover of about 10-15 billions of euro/dollars every year, and hundreds of thousands of people who benefit from it.
In conclusion:
to make the interest of fathers and children disappoint too many people.
