Children Pushed to Excess

Albert Einstein once said:

" The school should always have as its aim that the young person leave it as a harmonious personality, not as a specialist. Otherwise (with his specialized knowledge) he more closely resembles a well-trained dog than a harmoniously developed person. The demands of life are much too manifold (multiform, multifaceted) [..] the development of general ability for independent thinking and judgment should always be placed foremost, not the acquisition of special knowledge."

So if the School has to be that way (harmonious, versatile) the Family should be more and more strong about that!

Formation of a healthy identity and balanced human development should always be the first parent's goal; the purpose of a father and mother is to educate children and to give them consciousness of themselves and the world around them.

But quite often parents (especially single parents) don't take on this important role, they remain too closed, oppressive, they project onto the child their ideologies, delusions, fears, .. triggering something damaging and dangerous: the alienation of children from real life. Alienation can gradually bring to life illusory worlds, to isolation, to mental and physical illness, to the aridity of existence.

For every Michael Jackson becoming famous (and we know the price he paid) there are 100.000 anonymous children suffering in silence, not educated to manage their emotions, swept away by the world.. and all this happens because of condescending and deviant parents who force children to make premature choices, killing their development.

Say No! To children pushed to excess. This is an appeal for everyone, fathers, mothers, citizens. Childhood and Adolescence must be protected. They are like a fragile and young plant: if you give care it will soon be ready to stay out there, but if you leave it outside too soon.. bad weather and storms will damage and ruin it, maybe forever.
