The Role of The Father

Image
the rock and the flower, 15 november 2008 The Aimless Society The XX century taught us an important concept: "reality is relative" - I'll add a word - " human reality is relative " - in other words universal reality is one and complete but our minds can only perceive a part of it, a partial vision. This is the reason 1000 people could choose 1000 different directions for Society, in which case Society would go nowhere (as the metaphor of the Tower of Babel perfectly illustrates). Like Nowadays (a world of lobbies, corporations, factions, castas): we all pull the cart in a thousand directions, and the cart doesn't move ; we could have 50, but by wanting 100 we are getting 5, or even nothing. Direction and harmony are therefore necessary, This is why Society cannot function without good leaders . Heads are a physiological necessity for a family, a city, a State, for every organized human group that wants to go somewhere, build something, exists...

Father and Son Meet Themselves Grow-Up

Image
now they are living .. Father and Son meet themselves Grown-Up This video does not deal with the consequences of the father absence, but tries to investigate its grounds . A Father and his Child are often apart (separated) and even when not "physically apart", due to a divorce or to other reasons, they are separated in their look, in their relationship. Their Mental Distance is preamble to a "final" physical separation . Many fathers don't make or complete the education of their children because they had not been educated and grown up emotionally, ethically, rationally by their own fathers too . The father absence has historical ROOTS in the last century, a century comprising wars and degrading working conditions , places very far from home and family, places where millions of men and fathers died , 100 million during the two world wars, and even more were shocked, wounded, made unable to continue their lives and play their social ...

Towards a New Fatherhood

Image
paternal revolutions .. Paternal Revolutions Today I saw a father and son talking tenderly. This is where my reflection begins. I realize that I've always seen too many men far from their kids , far from hugs, from affection; too masculine to be dads one might joke; men who have run away or are absent, in their gaze, in their warmth. Silent and closed men, as if they were afraid, as if they didn't know the little one in front of them. Openness with their daughters, conversations, some seriously questioned themselves. But with their son... cold... silence. And yet they would have had a lot of things to say. Their little one was becoming a boy, and an adult man has a lot to teach : how many fears, sufferings, regressions and wasted time avoided if only there had been words, heart . Today I understood that these men were simply men with the wound of a father who was never tender, never present, never truly felt. Men who then passed on the ...

A Tale for Isabel

Image
this fairy tale is a metaphor that explains how important a child's relationship with their father is to achieving a happy life, 2007 (start music below before reading) A Tale for Isabel Bob is a 47-year-old man and father to a beautiful 7-years-old girl, Isabel. Every night when he puts her to bed, he tells her a different story, gives her a kiss, and then it's off to sleep! Isabel : "What are you going to tell me tonight, dad?" Bob : "Get under the covers.. ok, tonight I'll tell you the story of Bill." Isabel : "Who is Bill?" Bob calmly began to tell the story.. Bill is a child born in 2000 in a remote village in the Tuscan countryside. As soon as he was born, his mother took him to a big city far away. Bill, who weighed 4.5 kg at birth, was blond, a precocious runner, and soon became very intelligent. He grew up in the big city alone with his mother. He grew more and more every day, and as he grew, he ha...

The Inner Father

Image
solving the puzzle of your mind, december 2008 (start music below before reading) The Inner Father People who, like me, have never had a present father, a void was created inside from an early age ; an ever-growing void into which everything and anything entered. A few years ago, I became aware of this void and how I had filled it.. I began to clean it, to clean up that inner place. Then I began to fill it again with something called the inner father: images, faces, sounds, emotions, slowly, piece by piece, as one does with collages, I began to reconstruct an image inside me that was of a father . If today I know how to be a father, it is thanks to this image of the inner father. Discovering Yourself Purpose? Understanding yourself, human nature , facing the future. Feelings are part of us as matter is: anger, joy, pain, tenderness are emotions in our lives, ignoring those emotions is not healthy. Let's for instance take tenderness.. it...

Depression

Image
depression is an opportunity .. The Unconscious Message: It's time to Listen to Yourself with Honesty Look at anxiety, sadness, obsessions, not as problems but as solutions: our body is communicating in a language we don't know. Learn that LANGUAGE. It's not made of words and rationality, but emotions, images, instincts, spirituality. Neurosciences tell us 90% of brain is about unconscious and instinctual processes. We need to go back to roots, childhood, to a wrong and dysfunctional imprinting , so We didn't develop a solid, harmonious, healthy identity. You have to dedicate time, every day, listening to yourself, in silence, connecting to your deep mind . Those intrusive and worrying thoughts will reveal to you a HEALING message. One european on Two is suffering of Stress Depression (or Existential Crisis) is a phenomenon ignored by Media. While decades ago It was a rare pathology.. since 2020 It's the first cause of human disabilit...

Children Pushed to Excess

Image
the protection of childhood and adolescence, december 2009 Children Pushed to Excess Albert Einstein once said: " The school should always have as its aim that the young person leave it as a harmonious personality, not as a specialist. Otherwise (with his specialized knowledge) he more closely resembles a well-trained dog than a harmoniously developed person. The demands of life are much too manifold (multiform, multifaceted) [..] the development of general ability for independent thinking and judgment should always be placed foremost, not the acquisition of special knowledge." So if the School has to be that way (harmonious, versatile) the Family should be more and more strong about that! Formation of a healthy identity and balanced human development should always be the first parent's goal; the purpose of a father and mother is to educate children and to give them consciousness of themselves and the world around them. But quite often parents (...

50 years later, what you didn't know about divorce

Image
5 august 2023, from pensalibero.it 50 years later, what you didn't know about divorce The illusion that divorce frees you from your family... is just an illusion. Divorce does not dissolve your family, it only dissolves the couple; family responsibilities towards children remain unchanged. Those who believed that divorce was a celebration and an escape from obligations will be disappointed. New laws on shared custody provides increasingly costly penalties, and substantial compensation to the child if a parent fails to fulfill his/her obligations. But it is even more important to know that separated children have special needs , affection, guidance, as it will take months or years for them to get used to the new family arrangement. Being separated parents does not make you parents with fewer responsibilities and duties . Remember Constitutions and International Law and the duty to educate and raise children, always and in any case. As a child of separated parent...

Psychological Violence and Underages in Divorce

Image
let's free separated children from their cages Psychological Violence and Underages in Divorce The most frequent violence that underage children receive before, during and after a divorce is psychological violence . It means that one parent (or both) "absue" of his/her position or higher mental force for various purposes: revenge against the other parent, to denigrate the parent with less "child time", to get material benefits (house, money, custody), wishes to control of the children, other motives and/or pathologies. The abuse may be done in a premeditated and strategic way or in an uncontrolled and impulsive one. That violence has a high destructive potential inside the underage that receive it. A fundamental difference between physical and psychological violence is that the first one is easily observable (who, when) while the second one you can receive without realizing it with stronger and chronic damage. Receiving this violence in...
